Our Mission

At The Bronx Knights, our mission is twofold:

1. Chess Education: We believe in the power of chess to enhance critical thinking, improve academic performance, and boost confidence among students. Our afterschool programs are designed to introduce the game of chess to beginners and to deepen the understanding and strategic play for intermediate and advanced players.
2. Community Engagement: We aim to build a strong and supportive chess community in the Bronx. By connecting schools, students, and chess enthusiasts, we nurture a network that celebrates learning, mentorship, and competition.

Our Programs

• Afterschool Chess Lessons: Our programs are integrated into the school curriculum, offering students from various schools across the Bronx the opportunity to learn chess in a structured, engaging environment. Our experienced instructors tailor lessons to meet the needs of each student, ensuring a solid foundation and a passion for the game.
• The Bronx Knights Chess League: We organize and host a competitive chess league that encourages students to apply their skills in a spirited, supportive environment. Schools across the Bronx have the opportunity to form teams, compete in tournaments, and vie for the title of Bronx Knights Champions.
• Community Events: Beyond the classroom and competitive play, we host workshops, simul exhibitions, guest lectures, and community gatherings to promote chess culture in the Bronx. These events provide opportunities for students, families, and community members to engage with one another, learn from experienced players, and celebrate achievements.
